A short story of how I became interested in coin rings. As an avid metal detectorist one of my first finds was a 1907 Barber Half Dollar coin ring. It sat on my dresser for many years and I would wear it on occasion. Try as I might I could not figure out how this ring was created. Then one wintery day I decided to attempt it. Well after dozens of coins and countless hours I hit upon a technique that worked for me. Over time I became more efficient and technique improved to the point I am now. As I showed my coin rings around, I could not believe the interest so  Bobscoinrings was born.

Each coin ring starts with a Silver or Copper coin. I slowly work the metal until I end up with what you see. It's a slow process using only hand tools, hammer, various files and other odds and ends, a bit of polishing and cleaning and it's finished. Half Dollar sized coins are good for sizes 8 - 13 plus 14' and 15's on occasion if the metal isn't too brittle. Quarter sized coins are used for sizes 4 - 8. I can also use Large Cent coins which are good up to size 8 plus I have some early 1800's Large Cent Replicas that I can do up to size 15's. Look below for some examples of my work.

With the skyrocketing price of silver I can no longer list pricing. Contact me for current pricing.
